Yeah, it's just around the corner, but the move still killed me.

                           

The new place was definitely worth it. It took a month, but I am back

in the swing of things.

We have been busy on our youtube effort, giving you something new

every week. And, I figured out how to post them here on the blog!

I get a pat on the back for that! Our channel is:

Back to some bikes! At least one.



Here is a no-longer-a-stock-Honda CB160.

Kinda proud, it came out nice.

The seat will get foam, and the bikes gonna get some paint, too.

And we'll wrap it up with a little bathroom graffiti the kid threw up while I wasn't looking.

A Day in the Life

Hello boys and girls!

I'm not big on polishing motorcycles

(or even washing mine!)

but, I do have a gig washin', waxin' and polishing

a collection in town.

They belong to Bruce Wagner.

He loves old bikes and new bikes. But most of all,

he loves bikes he can haul ass on.

The TR6C is the only one that wasn't built, or restored, by

Joe Doman.

Hey! Good Job!

Sooo....

Back to good old Mean Machines! Can't let these hands get too clean now...

Here're a couple of bikes I've been working on.

(here're is my word of the day. I've been able to use it 3 times so far)

 And, of course, I am helping my friend Bob with his new Trumpet.

 I tried to get him to fly me up to Atlanta, but no, I've got to do it all over

the phone. Oh well, his loss.

Just got a copy of The Motorcycle Diaries.

(The book, not the movie.)

Expect to see a series of reports in future posts.

Concours d'Elegance

Finally got to the Boca Show.

Dave Boyer and Ed, over at the Specialized Motorcycles Museum,

asked Henry and I to lend them a hand this year.

I, of course, said yes!

(but was cursing it at 4:30 that morning!)



Although the weather wasn't hopefull, the turnout was great.

We, of course, know all the judges, but...

...who are all these guys in jacket and ties?

The cream-of-the-crop shows up for this event.

Here are a few.

After we had 2 or 3 looks around the place,

we finally got our passes to the Gourmet d'Elegance.

It is a tented pavilion of many fine food establishments showing off

their best dishes. And they were serving rum.

Henry and I hung out there for most of the afternoon,

watching the...um...cars go by!

So....

There was, of course, a best of show.
