Swap Meet Report
Black Sunday
at Churchill's
Metal 305 pulled off a great show!
While all those suckers were running around at the malls,
we were spending our time and money on old motorcycle junk! (our poor wives).
The turn out was great.
Here some of the bikes that showed:
There was, of course, a little judging going on.
The guys at the Donkey Barn and Dunrite Cycles had trophies to award.

That's our's in the middle!
So take a minute and look over the pics, cause one of them is the winner!
The other winners:
Dunrite Best of Show
the Donkey Barn Best Rat Bike
John Long presenting Best Biker Chic
And now, for Mean Machines'
Pogo Evan's Memorial Best of Show

A Day in the Life
Hello boys and girls.
First things first:
Barber is coming up!
It is the best vintage event.
Racing on and off road.
Bike shows, swap meet.
Ducstock for you Pasta heads.
Be there- or be square!
So lately here at Mean Machines, we have had quite the experience
working on Honda CB's. Not the usual 1970's 750's or 550's,
but the 1960's models. CB160 and CB450- Black Bomber.
These were part of the first big Japanese push into our market.
As jobs, they're just more old bikes.
The responces I got from people who walked in the door is
really what was interesting.
Here is my friend Steve on the CB160 he owned
...just a few years ago...
He now rides a BSA A65, and just picked up a Norton ES2.
I am helping him sort it out.
Had to show it off for him
You can catch him working over at Wes Scott Cycles.
Here's a CB160 that was built by Joe Z.
He sent some pics after seeing our youtube video of the cafe racer project.
Speaking of our youtube videos, after I got that Black Bomber going,
(go see the video on Meanmachinesusa)
Brando and I took a little detour...
Sooo....
I am finally getting settled into the new shop.
Got some work, got some projects,
and we are going to be filming as much as possible.
Now, don't forget to check us out on youtube!
And, if you like what you see, please become a subscriber.
See ya,
-Josh

Triple Trouble
1-2-3-4
I have had a variety of singles,
twins, and even fours.
But I have not yet owned a triple.
Now there are two available.
1973 Triumph T150 Trident.
One owner. 3700 miles.
All Original
And I mean tires, too.
#2
This one is a T150 Trident engine,
shoe-horned into a Bonneville oil-in-frame.
I'm a sucker for built specials.
Sooo.....
If you hear on the news that some crazy guy is knocking off 7-11's with a torque wrench, there's only one question to ask.
"Which bike did Josh buy?"
See ya

Sixth Street Specials
Sixth Street Specials
703 E 6th Street
NYC
Hey everybody.
Got in my annual trip to New York last week.
And I, of course, stopped by the old shop to b.s. with Hugh.
Why else go back?
I always check out the race bikes first.
The Triumph is Champion framed. Hugh put Fumi on it, and he is
winning races. All with a stock TR7R engine!
Hugh has not had much luck with his Gold Star, but he's finally chased off the gremlins, and is ready for the next race!
And of course, out on the street:
Hugh's new Triumph has been around for awhile, I did a lot of work on it back when Emmett bought it. That was probably 12 years ago.
It is a sweet motorcycle. Always one of my favorites.
Here's a better look at Fumi's 500 Triumph.
And there was, of course, something cool sitting in the window.
There always is.
So, back in the day, graffiti artists used spray paint and markers.
Then the MTA built the subway trains to be graffiti proof. They failed.
Now those hoodlums are scratching on the windows. Guess what the preferred tool is? Spark Plugs.
They break them and use the ceramic.
That extra plug isn't for roadside repair.
It's a sacrifice.
See ya
-JOSH
